UCLA does not offer institutional scholarships or financial aid to international undergraduates who are neither US citizens nor permanent residents. Applicants must arrange enough funding for education and living costs; external scholarships may be sought.
UC excludes SAT/ACT from admission and scholarship selection. Scores may still support minimum eligibility or course placement.
English proof is required with fewer than three years of English instruction, unless all secondary schooling was in English. Competitive guidance: TOEFL 5 with each component 5 (old scale above 100, components above 24), IELTS 7.5, or DET 135. UCLA calls these competitive scores, not guaranteed admission cutoffs; self-report results by January.
International fee: $95 per campus, non-refundable. UC waivers: US citizens, permanent residents or AB540 eligibility only.
Fall 2027: apply October 1–November 30, 2026. Admitted first-year students must accept by May 1, 2027.
