WashU meets its calculated full demonstrated need for admitted undergraduates. International applicants must request aid during admission; students who initially decline aid cannot apply after the admission decision or during their four years.
The Fall 2027 international first-year checklist makes SAT/ACT optional. Applicants may alternatively submit specified national, IB, A-level or AP results. English proficiency is a separate requirement.
International applicants whose first language is not English must provide official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo English Test results. Review the linked English-testing requirements for individual circumstances; optional SAT/ACT does not remove this requirement.
The non-refundable application fee is $75. WashU waives it for financial-aid applicants and applicants for whom payment would create financial hardship; follow its waiver instructions.
